What color should I paint door and shutters?
Comments (40)I haven't checked out this forum in a long time so I'm not a regular but for whatever it's worth, I really like the side door window painted the same color as the door whatever color you decide on. Otherwise the window sticks out like a sore thumb and throws everything off balance. It looks really great painted the same color. Isn't it wonderful there are such talented people to show you exactly how it will look before painting....See MorePaint color ideas for shutters and vent-shutters at door. Black?

Comments (7)I like the first photo better with the lighter green, but it is difficult to decide, because the exposure on the first photo is different, or it was a sunnier day. Note that the trees are a lighter color in the first photo. And the flowers along the pathway from the first photo are missing in the second photo. The combination of the two things makes the second house look forbidding somehow. If one were to show the two photos to people and ask, "Which house looks more welcoming,", I think people would say the first. I like the shutters, they seem to go with the portico, and the shutters should be the same color as the roof, the way your eyebrows should go with your hair....See Morewhat color/s to paint shutters and front door
