Comments (35)This looks like the “Chinese Emperor Jasmine / Tiger Head Jasmine” here in Australia as people call it locally: big single flower size ( can reach 4/5 cm in diameter), intensive fragrance exactly as the Jasmine Tea smells, flowers appear as white then gradually turn purple then deep dark brown before becoming fully wilted, a bushy climber, etc. This jasmine is relatively easy to propagate by cutting, it looks like this in my yard: The only downside I have with Chinese Emperor Jasmine is it is easy to attract caterpillars: lots of leaves will be infested & eaten...See MoreCare advice for Jasminum sambac?
Comments (2)They are plants with origin in deserts!!! They need less water and love plenty of sunshine. The brutal sun of Australian summer toasts leaves of every plant but not of Jasmine. Just keep soil moist. Fertilizer should be added during Summers when it is actively growing. Sunburned looking leaves might actually be leaves damaged by spider mites. Best way is to spray the underside of the leaves every day covering the root ball to avoid overwatering it.
