You have a lot of golden tones in the flooring, fireplace, kitchen cabinets, so be thinking about rugs, art works, sofas and chairs that work with those tones. The existing red pieces of the previous owners, really don't harmonize, though blue and golden wood tones can be beautiful.

I'm not the one to suggest the furnishings since there are pros here who can help you collect ideas, but I would suggest a better layout: floating sofa facing the fireplace and media wall and chairs flanking those to form a conversational group anchored on a large rug.

What does your furniture look like? I've lived in multiple houses over the past 50+ years, and I've used the same furniture in all of them.

Housegal, thanks I am attaching a couple more photos, that show the tile as well and the window treatments in the living which I believe will stay. I do like agree with the sofa facing media and FP. I would really like a large comfy sectional but not sure if that would work.

I have an eclectic mix.

Thanks pink_peony, not married to the treatments they look nice with current pieces. My style is all over the place. I like a bohemian feel. I thought I wanted to go more modern with my last updates but not liking that look so much anymore. I have both leather and fabric now and like both.

Beverly is right. Move in with what you have and see what should stay or go. You have lovely taste. It doesn't seem all over the place. You already have pieces that harmonize with the cream and golden/reddish mix of the wood floor and tiles. Some of them may work. I like the paint color in whatever room has the zebra pattern upholstered side chair. It goes very well with the wood floors and trim.

The pictures depict what the current owners have now, not my furnishings. The picture below is what I have which will be moving to the media room and we are getting rid of the media furniture also below.
