antique chair and wing chair identification help!
Comments (6)I don't think you overpaid. As long as the chair frames are solid, you have far better chairs than you could buy for $120 each. They look like the slightly Frenchified stuff from the 1920s or 1930s....See MoreNeed help ID'ing antique chairs
Comments (6)Hi Linda, Thank you so much for that info. I have 2 questions for you. If I can get you some better pictures (I know this one is kind of dark), could you give me some more info? And how would I get you thoses pictures as it seems this site will only allow you to post 1 picture. And the 2nd question, and PLEASE don't take this the wrong way, but what qualifies you to know antiques and chairs such as mine? Being I am not familiar with this site, and don't know you or your credentials, I just want to know. Believe me, I am not being a wiseguy. Thanks again for your help and I should be able to post better pictures this coming weekend....See MoreNeed help identifying a potentially antique chair
Comments (3)Thank you, Sombreuil! I know this one is hinged at the bottom - checking to see if the whole thing actually folds. Might this be worth anything? Any ideas of what value might be? Should it be appraised? Thank you again!...See MoreChinese Antique Chairs need updating (for dining room)
Comments (8)@kootenaycapable Chair pads are a great idea! For now, the red upholstered bench is just going to live in the window alcove in the living room (no design yet, working with a designer from Havenly right now to decorate the LR) since we don't have other ideas, but I'm open to add'l suggestions! larger version @Pam P. @housegal200 I didn't think of a glass table at all! Do you have suggestions for what kind of legs? @latifolia good call on testing if they're comfortable for long hours. I'd say my biggest concern regarding comfort is that there is literally 90º angle from chair seat to back, so forces you to sit very upright. I guess people will leave the dinner party with better posture ;-) Here's the dining space currently (dimensions are 15'6" x 13'8"): larger pic of dining room here kitchen pic provided for context *going to remove the dining set that's currently in here and will probably build out a breakfast bar Thank you to all who responded!...See MoreMy3dogs ME zone 5A
