Comments (6)Didge, It'll be great to say hallo and to see some of your more unusual plants! Will you have any for sale? There will be a large sales area there at the show hopefully, I'm definitely saving up some gold ones for it! Can't wait, Lis :D...See Morecactus and succulent shows?
Comments (14)Does it have to be a show? I was excited to learn that many colleges/universities have greenhouses to view..... I want to see the UMass Amherst collection, I'd be happy to just take pics, or learn of some new types. Plus the nice thing is usually they aren't crowded & may talk to a gardener that cares for the collection. ohh....thanks for tip cactusmcharris... will have to look into Danbury CT! Comments (12)aloebot, those are all very nice. I love the feathery look of the leaves on your Pelargonium auritum. Maybe I'll get around to looking at the pots next time...I guess that would be the SUMMER SHOW ON JUNE 2 & 3!!! (according to their website). I'm still a newbie and kind of afraid of glazed pots. I feel like the terra cotta pots are pretty forgiving and less of a risk of overwatering for those of us who are still trying to figure everything out. Those, $3, $5, $6 add up, then the sudden $10 jumps! Are you in San Diego & a SDCSS member? As far as the plant my husband picked out, yes. Very manly, indeed. When I first saw it, I thought, hmmm... lol Kara, everytime I see a Morgan's Beauty I always think it is such an attractive plant (which has only ever been in pictures). I'm pretty sure this was one of the first plants I snatched up at the sale. I think the flat silvery leaves and bloom combination is striking. I'll be sure to take pictures when the flowers open. I've had a Crassula Springtime for about a year, but it hasn't bloomed for me yet. The Gymnocalycium Horstii was on the last tables on the way out. It was sitting there so fat and sassy and only $5, there was no way I could leave it there. The sides are pushing against the pot. It looks like it needs repotting, ya think?
