Help with outdoor bbq and fire pit!

Help! We are in the midst of our backyard renovation and they are starting to build our outdoor L shape bbq station and L shape fire pit much sooner than expected. We need to decide what finishes to use. We are painting our house off white (Swiss Coffee). House has a stucco finish (lace texture). We are thinking of having the bench for the fire pit and the base for the bbq be stucco also painted in Swiss Coffee, and topping it with a medium gray colored polished cement top.

Question: should we do the same lace texture stucco on the bbq and fire pit bench or should we go for a smooth finish? Or should we go for something in between?

Our house is in the desert and is a California ranch house. It was built in 1983 but was recently flipped. We are putting new pavers and landscaping in the backyard so we are trying to give the backyard an “updated” look but don’t want to go to starkly modern.

If you look at the picture of the pool, the bbq area will be built just under the palm tree. Neither the bbq or the firepit will be right next to the house.

I’ve included some pics to help as well as an inspiration pic for the color of paint and cement. I will include more pics in comments.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
