Scored on Craigslist - Breakfast Nook Table!
Comments (15)keep at it re: craigslist. checking daily works for me, sometimes morning and evening. i live in a big urban area with lots of competition - when you find something you need to move quickly or it will be gone. i was at the persons house to purchase table within 1 hour of seeing the posting on line. i might need to buy the bistro chairs new, think they may be even harder to find. yes sister of babushka cat would prefer that all decisions are guided around her fur color - she is dominated by her brother and wants equal time! table is 29x30x29.5 inches. will be going with the creamy mixed tile, just waiting on the tile guy...who was supposed to be here friday to get the ball rolling but had to reschedule as he was running behind. :(...See MoreLooking for a small high rise dining table for breakfast nook - Recs?
Comments (0)I'm looking for a round or square high rise dining table that is 36" to 42" wide in diameter for my breakfast nook. And bar stools to match/complement. Scholar high table - http://www.crateandbarrel.com/scholar-round-high-dining-table/s203235 Belden High table - http://www.crateandbarrel.com/belden-round-high-dining-table-with-42-glass-top/s202912 I like the Scholar high table and the Belden glass table from Crate and barrel. But the scholar high table doesn't have accompanying bar stools. They offer this dove grey seats as complement but the entire situation is going too dark for my little corner. We also have natural wood cabinets in the kitchen adjoining. I really like the Belden table with the glass. It gives an airy feeling. Unfortunately, Crate and BArrel offers wire bar stools as a match that are very uncomfortable and I have not found stools that can work with this table. The metal on the Belden table is also an olive green (not grey as it seems from the picture online), and so it's a bit more difficult to figure out what works with that. If it comes down to it. I can paint the metal a darker color, maybe grey. Does anyone have recommendation for other table sets or perhaps recs on bar stools that may look good with the Belden table? I'm looking for bar stools with a back, no arms, and a swivel....See MoreOval or rectangle table in breakfast nook?
Comments (3)You need at least 36” of space behind the table ends if anyone is to ever access the window seats. Crawling in and out from under the table is for 3 year olds. And that is why a U banquette is awful....See More9x9 breakfast nook - what size table
Comments (4)I agree, for a round table I wouldn’t go larger than 42” in diameter, but that seats only 4 people. If you put a bench under the window (it need not be built in), you could do a 60” long rectangular table, which seats 6, and possibly 7 if you put 3 children on the bench (grandkids?). There would only be 24” between each end of a 60” long rectangular table and the wall, which is tight but doable if it is important to maximize seating. You’d probably have to push in the end chairs for people to access the bench. I’d put painters tape on the floor to represent the table to see how that looks....See MoreJamie Ludwig
