Cafe Double Oven: Q about Air Fryer and Touchscreen
Comments (7)We have the double door Cafe with air fry and you can set it from the screen. Only had ours since May so haven't used the self clean yet. I am a little gun shy about using it. This replaced a Kitchenaid that blew out the thermostat the first time I ran self cleaning....See MoreTrying to replace a nut on an Cuisinart air fryer
Comments (4)Measure the outside diameter (OD) of the thread with a suitable caliper. If the caliper is metric calculate the diameter in inches. (25.4 mm/inch). Suppose the answer is 0.25 inch. Then the thread is either 1/4-20 or 1/4-28. For other diameters, look up standard American threads and get a 'coarse' and a 'fine' thread nut in the correct diameter to try. Or buy a Starrett thread gauge if you are a tool hound (but then you would already own one). :) Here's a classic: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/GOVPUB-C13-e37fe604c6638ab929cfb4fe8af50ac2/pdf/GOVPUB-C13-e37fe604c6638ab929cfb4fe8af50ac2.pdf And this one loads faster https://www.sizes.com/tools/thread_american.htm...See Morecan a high end miele 7880 oven operate as an air fryer?
Comments (0)hi - i am getting a new miele 7880 oven, and am wondering if it can serve the function of an air fryer (given air fryers are essentially high output convection ovents). has anyone tried this and how well does the miele oven handle this use case? thanks!...See MoreMy new combo air fryer/toaster oven
Comments (14)The theory about the unit heating too quickly is interesting, but doesn't make sense to me; it preheats just like any oven, before I would put the food in. The convection circulates the heat but doesn't add to it (I think - of course I might not understand!) I never intend to use my corning/pyrex/AH pans with the air fryer function - only for the bake or roast setting. I used the current/old convection toaster oven to bake pies, cakes and casseroles in those pans without any problems - even at 400+ for certain recipes. I do use the metal pans that came with it for cookies and pizza. Lars, mine are all older too. I agree, Elmer, the help lines for this sort of product never have any additional information, but I will give a call anyway. I will probably end up taking it back. Thanks for all of the comments!...See MoreUser
