Please help! Benjamin Moore Aura vs. Regal Select? Interior & Exterior
Comments (3)I've always used Regal Select from BM and it is my favourite paint. I've used other brands and I always come back to the BM. It has great coverage and goes on nicely. I've never sprayed it. But if you are thinking of it for your exterior....look into Maibec siding. They have many profiles and they have their own set of colours or you can have them custom tint to any major paint brand. We had ours tinted to BM colour and we are very very happy with the way it all turned out. Comments (28)Split finish pricing will vary depending on the product, it will generally be lower on vinyl if either side is white. Regarding what is seen, yes, you will always see the opposite side to some degree. The extreme contrast between black and white jusyt makes it more noticeable. Most folks are okay with it when the window is closed, its when its opened and you see the transition from one color to the other that is questioned more frequently. As Todd said, casements look nicer than double hungs as they don't having the balance channels, etc. and they have a more logical "termination" point for the color....See MoreStuck on Window shade selection - black exterior grids

Comments (6)It is brand dependent, also "how long do you want to wait" depending with some brands. Some brands use a color thru extrusion, some add a color coating to a white extrusion. With production builders & the lines they use it is typically an upcharge as white is the least expensive to build, sometimes off white/tan/taupe is a zero to minimal cost upgrade. W high end storefront style aluminum, bronze and/or painted colors are upgrades, but bronze is most typical....See Moreseabornman
