Can I paint 'rope' tiles that I can't remove?
Comments (2)If you were to hire it out, it'd cost alot more than it's worth. However, if you were to go down to Michaels, or some other crafts store and pic up some ceramic stain in the color you want, YOU could probably paint them relatively easy....See MoreRope as crown molding?
Comments (14)Hi everyone! FINALLY got this project done and it looks great!! Thank you so much @arcy_gw for the finishing nails tip, and all of you for the support. I cut a piece of rope per wall and secured the ends with wood glue. When dry, I just used 1 1/2" finishing nails through the rope - the roughness hides the nails really well, you'd barely know they were there if you didn't know to look. The rope hid the rough paint jobs perfectly - both my paint (turquoise) and the previous owners' (tan). Then, I made these cute button knots for the corners to hide the ends of the rope. And here are a few more pics of the mermaid-themed powder room. :)...See MoreHow do I install crown moulding on 2 story wall over the stairs?
Comments (9)I think Home Depot, or you may have to look at Building supply rentals. personally I would prob hire someone to do it. crown molding is a little tricky and even more so 22' feet up in the air! and then you'll have to paint it. (unless you hire a house painter. and they may also do crown molding. ) So if you plan on getting the room painted, see if they can also do the crown for you and get a two for one while they're there...See MoreCan I miter existing crown molding while it's on the wall?
