Comments (4)I picked the Wolf. One reason is that it doesn't show finger prints, etc. because of the design in the cooktop. I'm going with the framed one. Kitchen won't be done for 6 weeks so I have no experience on it. I am going to a demo with the Wolf chef in a month. Comments (26)Sorry, just took a look at this thread again and noticed your question...by the time I got to Miele, I had decided on induction, so I didn't give the Miele an actual test drive. I did give it a pretty thorough inspection at the Miele place, though, and thought it was a very sexy range -- and the performance seemed very similar to the Wolf dual fuel. I say that b/c the Miele also has the stacked burners, which I really liked, but the BTUs are higher than Wolf (which top out at around 16k, I believe -- Miele was closer to 20k or so -- I can't quite remember). The Miele ovens on the 48" range were very nice -- the smaller one is a speed oven, and the bigger one is a regular convection. The speed oven wasn't a big plus for me personally, since I really wanted a steam oven as a second oven, but there are people on this forum who love their speed ovens. One thing I really liked about the Miele oven, which Wolf doesn't have, is the burst of steam option, which is great for baking (you can program up to 3 bursts of steam for up to 6 min. each during cooking). I didn't care that much about the MasterChef options on Miele, but again, others love these. At any rate, the Miele seemed very similar to the Wolf, I liked the steam option on the oven better and liked the Miele burners better (also, if you're interested in a grill, theirs was excellent and seemed very similar to the Wolf, which I think is the best in the business). Comments (15)Bring your pots into a showroom to try them out. Function-wise I suspect you would be happy with any of these, but layout may be another story. I chose the Miele (not with the flex burner - was not out yet) because I wanted to easily be able to use 3 12" skillets at the same time - it's great for that, and much better than the newer model IMO or any of the other models. Many of them just have smaller hob sizes which are not as good for larger skillets (boiling water doesn't matter so much - so depends on what you are doing). Love the separate burner timers too - we use them a lot more than we thought we would for our pressure cooker, rice, pasta, drying cast iron, etc. Definitely thrilled with our choice all the way around! Comments (32)I have been in appliance selection and paralysis since October so I understand your diiemma.. Have you looked at the Miele ovens? Miele masterchef oven has a rotisserie.,I'm in love with that oven and will probably get that and their CSO as long as the local appliance center gets the certification to repair them . Otherwise service has to come form 3 to 4 hours away. I love the concept of the wireless thermometer, the 16 bread programs and the ease of programming cooking modes. Have you been to any demonstrations of the ovens at Miele and Wolf appliance showrooms? While I wait for my renovation to start in winter, I have been using air fryer ovens and hope that I will still use my big built in appliances.as I have fallen in love with them; the ease of cooking, not reheating the whole kitchen, quick cooking time and how the food turns out.
