We just moved into our house a few months ago. The dw is an older model GE Profile Dishwasher PDW7800G00BB. I recently noticed an odd smell in the area of the sink and dw and could not pinpoint the source until this morning. There is a steam vent under the control panel. I removed the vent cover from the inside and noticed a thin styrofoam strip on top of the area where you would place your fingers when you open the door on the outside (not the latch in the middle of the door). This was collecting all the odors I had been complaining about. I tried to clean it but it started to break apart so I removed the entire piece. Now when I run the dw the steam builds up and that handle is wet. I can't find the part online even with the diagram form the GE website. Does anyone have this problem? Is it normal? I just want to see if there is a proper replacement part or something I can do on my own and affix to the same spot to absorb the moisture. OR should I just not worry about it. Thanks!!

Over the years I learned to make my own chain’s lengths form chain stock and used or new chains (due to expense and dirty wood causing premature wear). I learned to match chains with my sprockets or change my sprocket. There are kits with some common sprockets at the address below. I purchased Laser Tip Bars that had no sprockets that cost more but paid for themselves due to no sprocket (they Last and Last). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Bars with sprockets will last if they are cleaned, greased and oiled “Regular”. Cutting green wood makes a big difference if you have a choice in cutting volumes of Firewood. Noticing that you have good chips from a sharp chain helps “ALL”! Attached is a good and bad fit of a chain to an open sprocket. On a closed sprocket as in the link attached below, the chain should show a common fit and rest on the diameter of contact. I agree! I don't want a storm door, even though in love in Wisconsin and I *should* have one as the door isn't really protected at all. but unjust can't being myself to cover up my door. I think I might have to go retractable and perhaps develop some sort of anchor system that I could remove it without damage. not sure.
