Comments (4)Very pretty, Pat! What's her name? I've got blooms on my climbers, Don Juan, Westerland, Iceberg and Sombreuil as well as Trumpeteer. Marilyn Monroe and some of the English roses (Fair Bianca and Glamis Castle) have started to open a few blooms. The roses DO look good this year! Last year was so wet, they got every fungal disease around. I noticed just a bit of powdery mildew from these hot days and cool nights, but no rust, blackspot or downy mildew (knock on wood!) so far. Comments (1)Very nice Alison. One of my favorite roses, and favorite for scent, is a David Austin - Heritage. It's not so small in circumference but isn't a huge kind like some of my hybrid teas (Ingrid Bergman, Mr. Lincoln, etc.). That rose Christopher Marlowe is a very interesting color.
