Isn't that plant drooping from thirst? Don't they usually grow more upright?

That pot does look awful dry. This type of plant, I don't think the clay should ever dry that much. I would even venture to say that it needs to be in a plastic pot as a long term solution.

As for right now, soak the whole pot in some water for 15-30minutes and then allow to drain without obstruction.

Are you guys sure? I do water it when the soil is dry, and it feels moist if I dip my finger in. The pot isn’t that dry btw - the patina is from white paint!

How do you water the plant?

I normally use tap water that’s been left out for a day or two (to dechlorinate), and water until there’s water starting to seep out the bottom. Is that the right thing to do?

Each time you water, It probably needs to soak in water for 10-15 minutes then allowed to drain completely.

These plants don't like to dry out and the clay makes it dry out very quickly.

If it weren't in clay, you wouldn't need to give so much water as often.

I have! I did that this morning after what other helpful commenters (just realised one was you all along!) said. Should I be watering once a week using the soaking method then? Or better to just move it out into a plastic pot?

this plant needs to be watered more then once a week - the plant is quite large for the pot size. but i would not recommend putting it in larger pot either.

best to move it to a plastic pot. you can put it inside the clay pot to maintain the look.

however it's better to grow it in a hanging pot: wide and shallow, as it grows stolons on the surface to spread, it's a tropical ground cover :).

and try to keep it above 70F at all times, preferably at 75F-80F range.

in general it should remain moist always if the temp is above 70F. and slightly drier if it's still above 65F. only when it's constantly below 65F it should be watered much less and top layer of soil can then dry to about 1-2", as it will stop growing thinking 'the winter is coming!' ;).
