Comments (23)I disagree with jessicavanderhoff completely! I've been a wing fan for 30+ years...raised and went to college in upstate NY so I know what's going on...the "double-bone" part (as my 10 yr old son calls them....) are the best. A way better platform for the flavor that defines wings..that is the crispy skin, the sauce and the bleu cheese dressing (not ranch...never). The "single-bone" part is an overgrown drumstick...any true wing fan would never object to a plate full of "double-bones" any day of the week...we just realize that the damn things tend to come in pairs in nature so we are sort of stuck....See MoreDishwasher left or right side of sink?
Comments (23)Pass, indeed. I've already taken the "dear" to smooth the waters... I say "just leave the dishes, I'll load the dishwasher", better that than have her find something else. I've already stated we've been married almost 50 years, so while I still haven't figured "it" all out, I've developed some defensive strategies... albeit more work for me. Still, she is a good cook, and does spend some time fixing a nice dinner most nights. And as you could guess by the length of time we've been married, I'm retired and need something to do anyway. This dishwasher started off with at lease one strike against it. First she wanted a washer with the controls on the upper edge, so the front had no visible controls, just a full width handle, otherwise a flat white surface. Our last maching was stainless steel inside, as most of the upper price models are. After reading in Consumer Reports (no longer a favorite of mine for other reasons) I learned that stainless adds nothing but cost. So while we got a machine with "hidden" controls, it is "plastic" inside. So, better she doesn't have to look inside: that's two strikes: utensil basket location, and not stainless. I think the machine does a good job, it is bigger than our past model, so we get two days (if I push) per wash and it uses less hot water, this sums to big energy$$ savings. Since these were my main goals in getting a new dishwasher, I can figure that's my pay for "doing the dishes". Yes, I know how good a job the machine does because I also empty the dishwasher....See MoreSectional chaise - left or right?
Comments (3)I don't totally disagree with yaya, but I can imagine people perching on that piece to sit, so I'd probably want to be looking out the window rather than back toward the entry. However, depending on what other furniture you'll have and where it will be placed, I'd want anyone sitting there to be facing the conversation area....See Moreplease suggest..which one you like left or right?
Comments (39)Can you buy another white floor lamp to match with what you have? You don't want to be crowding the space beside the bed and wall. Put something with the right scale or else it will look crowded. Don't forget a floor plant and some smaller plants to put here and there. They warm up a room. The bright pink lamp is not a good choice for the room. Use a pair of lamps, one on each side if you need the light. Does that wood bed frame go around the sides or is it just a foot board? Try tucking the comforter in and see if it makes the bed look more tailored. Keep that white line in the comforter straight or it will look untidy. Consider laying a white fur throw or heavy cotton throw over the the comforter. Add one or two white decorative pillows. Lighten the bed up a bit. I was going to suggest all the elements in this next picture. You can buy skinny mirrors which could be placed behind table lamps and side tables. The reflection helps make rooms appear larger. Use tall mirrors that reach the wall decor over the headboard. All of it adds interest. Again, not sure what your budget will allow. be creative....See More- 6 years agolast modified: 6 years ago
