120" curtains are available many places. If Ikea does not have them, then Google it to find other stores.

Can you swap the sofa and chair? Then long curtains over window. I don't think you need anything above tv wall, You have enough going on in the room.

Its a busy room; give the eye a place to rest. Matching curtains to wall color will visually enlarge the space. For a more intimate feeling use color. Love your yellow accents.

What a cheery room. White is a good choice, don't pick something too sheer. And don't get curtains that don't fit the window! They will stick out like a sore thumb. There are plenty of choices at reasonably priced stores like Target, BB&B and overstock. You can pull your sofa out a bit to allow room for the curtains. What is to the left of the sofa? A radiator? That could be an issue.

I think once you add your curtains and neaten up the cubes on the tv wall, there will be a nice balance between the window and the tv wall.

If you were planning to use those sheers you posted, those are not appropriate for your room. IKEA has plenty of tall curtain panels that are of a heavier weight for those windows. However, as your room is currently a playroom I would recommend the accordion blinds offered by IKEA instead

@kulrn we tried to arrange the living room furniture in different angles; however, given the room size and the open kitchen, this is the best way to arrange the furnitures.

I have found that it is much easier to buy 120" long drapes online than in any brick and mortar store. Even if it is the same vendor, the online website will carry the long version of the drapes but not in the physical location. I like the drape sizes as shown by phuninthesun's mock up. Agree with deco about the room needing a place for the eye to rest, particularly on the media wall.

With a double rod, the sheers can be used on the inside rod and you can close drapes completely as needed for privacy and/or light control. If you make sure the drapes cover only the window frame on each side of the window, then the sheers in the middle can let in the maximum amount of natural light.

I’m a huge curtain fan, but in this instance I think I preferred your room without the curtains. The blank window added some height and interest to the room that seems lost now. Can you open the curtains more and have have them flank the window? If privacy or glare is an issue, I understand your need for the coverage. Your space looks very inviting and fun!

@haley we do during the day. Because it's white, it doesn't take away anything from the room. It just blends with the wall.

Hi just wondering what length did you end up buying? I have 10ft ceiling and I’m planning to get the 120” curatin but im not sure if that would work or it’s gonna be long. What you think of 108”?
