If your living room furniture is in the middle of the room
Comments (6)I wish I would have saved pics from our last place but wasn't a GWer then. :( Our furniture was smack dab in the middle of the great room. Where you walked through from the front door was parallel and behind the longer sofa. Then the wall, enclosing the stairs, was to the other side. I used a thin library table with a lamp, tall vase and a few other objects. To the right of that, I had a very tall houseplant and a floor lamp. Comments (22)Well, I would rather have the room painted before the new furniture is moved in. Thank you for the compliment re color palette. I am leaning towards cream colors for sofa and chair. Comments (7)I suggest you paint the walls all one color. I can't see if there is trim, but if so, paint it the same as the walls. No need to do different sheens, as any trim would be not important. Dress the windows, to the floor, hanging the rod as high as you can. I love this photo for your inspiration because the large sectional gives lots of seating (notice each seat has its own cushion...modular will let you design for your space) and then the grounding rug holds a round table for drinks and an ottoman for your feet. Comments (9)I would do 2 more modern looking recliners facing the tv and a sofa Like shown above and an accent chair where you now have your recliner.
