Wall-mounted faucets (w/ sprayer even?!)
Comments (3)I don't know whether a 1913 kitchen actually would have had a sprayer, but you can still get the traditional look of that period in a wall-mount faucet with a sprayer. Sometimes you have to compromise the exact duplication of the period for practicality. I mean, you will be having a refrigerator, oven/cooktop, dishwasher, right? I think a sprayer is very useful feature to have at a sink, especially if your sink is going to be large, and I would go ahead with it, even if it isn't exactly the 1913 look. Anyway, I will link a thread below that discusses wall-mounted faucets with sprayers, and has some pics. There are only a couple of manufacturers that make traditional-looking wall-mounted faucets with sprayer. The two I can think of are Herbeau and Harrington Brass. Also, what you choose for a finish is very important, and really can change the appearance of the faucet. For a 1913 era, I would go with polished nickel, which was widely used at that time. The Herbeaus come in many finishes, and also offer wood or porcelain as an option on the sprayer handle for an old-fashioned look. Comments (15)I realize this post is really old (five years!!!) but am replying in case anyone else runs across this. Just wanted to let others know I had this faucet and absolutely loved it. It's the only wall mounted faucet you can get with a sprayer. And it looks great. The quality is terrific. I used it for five years before I sold the house and never had problems. The people who bought the house four years ago love it too, and they've never had troubles either. I'm buying it again for my new build. It fit the style of my old Craftsman well, and I think it will work in the new contemporary too. Another great thing is that with a wall mount faucet, there are no holes in your countertop that you have to fuss about cleaning around. A sweep or two around the sink and it's all clean. Perfect!...See MoreWall-Mount Faucet with Retractable Sprayer?
Comments (1)I think your are right about the product not existing. I don't know of a single company that makes one. But, now I'm intrigued and will be on the lookout for one. I'm not sure how it would work. The weight that makes the spray retract would have to be in the wall, as would the spray hose -- a recipe for disaster when the hose leaks, as it inevitably will. I think you may have to combine a wall mount faucet with a side spray mounted on the countertop to get the effect you want....See MoreIs it possible to have wall mount faucet with deck mount side spray?
Comments (5)You have presented a 500 pound question that has no single answer so I'll give you three 166.66 pound answers. First, you need a deck mount hole in sink,I don't see one. Secound,if you are talking about a vegetable sprayer, they are available with provisions for plumbing directly into suppy tubes and coming through wall same as facuet. Third,if your plumber doesn't know everything I just told you,you have the wrong plumber. The best set up is a commercial facuet with overhead sprayer like used on pre-rinse table before dishes go into automatic washer in restraunts....See Moresuezbell
