OK, not pushing grey -- just don't want you to settle on something you don't like for such a large part of your room. The sectional we've had for about 13 years now is close to the color of that first close up. It is a very liveable color and goes well with blues and greens. Do look at the type of leather too. That RH sofa appears to be that kind (can't remember what they call it) that will start out looking distressed and just get more so. It will show every mark from kids and dogs - that's the look, so you have to embrace it. See how the cushion sides are already more crinkled than the sofa back? Kind of like having marble counters -- know you will live with patina and not perfection. That will work in your room, but you said you didn't like rustic so much so thought I should mention that. I like the idea of the mossy green. You don't see green leather often, so it definitely wouldn't be cookie cutter.

I have a similar paint in my LR--BM Georgian Green. Five years ago we changed our light tan carpet for Shaw Anso Nylon in Move On Up in the color Willowbrook. It's kind of a toast color with dark green and other color flecks. The room faces north and though it's darker than the previous carpet, I really like how it grounds the room and makes it feel cozy. It works great with the paint and furniture which is toast, brick red, and black. It's also very soft, as soft as Smartstrand, but I trusted nylon's wearability more than I did SS, a newer product. It never shows dirt. There are photos of it on the internet.

I prefer the plain rug that you posted to the patterned one. I think I'm getting bored with diamond patterns on rugs. But this is more to illustrate another approach to hanging art for your room.

Thanks everyone! The house is being built, so I do not have any pictures of finished rooms. The house itself is ranch style. The great room will have rustic wood beams, light colored walls and light cocoa wood floors. As I said, I am going for the 'cozy" Ralph Lauren look". I love bright colors and obviously, I like a bold piece included in my room! I had the chair custom made some time ago with the beautiful Ralph Lauren Algonquin fabric, so I sure want to use the chair in the living room. I am just having a hard time deciding what color leather couch would go best. They do not have a red that works and I think a black leather would be too stark. With grandchildren, I would like to stay with leather instead of a fabric!
