Dining room dilema!
Comments (6)Great choices, I would suggest that you introduce two accents colors in your accessories and cross pollenate them in both rooms so that there's a connection. I could also see a large live plant in your dining room and then a few small ones on your counter in the kitchen. Just a few items that have the same colors will do the trick....See MoreDining Room light fixture to go with schoolhouse lights in kitchen.
Comments (11)Depends on the room the chandy is in. In a more contemporary home, I'd probably use the white sleeves. Nothing to really keep clean. Dust the chandy once in a while. If you want to actually wash the sleeves, you just remove the bulb and slip the sleeve off and wash them. I have a small chandy like that in my kitchen, which was there when I bought the house. It has the white sleeves. I should change them to the honey, not that I think about it! The dining room chandy I have from Ace Iron doesn't have any sleeves (it's a ring-style chandy, so no pillars/sleeves for the bulbs). OP's house is a 1900s farmhouse, so I'd def. go with the honey or antique if that were my house....See Moreopen concept dining / living room dilema
Comments (3)Hi Pamela! I would check out CB2 for dining furniture. They have really stepped up their game lately, and I feel like their modern designs will compliment your living room. They are also super affordable! Another suggestion...you got to paint those walls! I'm sorry but that yellow does not want to live with your pretty living room furniture. And window treatments can totally soften the whole space too! Check out Jenny Komenda from Little Green Notebook. She makes Ikea drapes look like custom! Good luck. :)...See MoreExpanding Kitchen into Dining room for better light!
Comments (4)All good points, and im not trying to waste money, but im very unhappy with my current layout. And I’m sad that we don’t get any use out of our two rooms (dining and sitting) with the most beautiful light. the range in the island is just terrible for kids AND doenst have enough prep space on either side to be useful: This corner is inaccessable when someone is washing dishes, and the fridge does not help. it seems if i am going to rejigger the entire layout, i may as well get use out of a beauitful and mainly decorative room?...See Moreeverdebz
