I have a black and white striped duvet from Ikea. The pic below was my inspiration but a striped duvet is as far as I got. LOL

Fluffy winter comforter is pale sage green. Fall & Spring mid-weight quilt is rich deep reds with a few golds and browns. In Summer we keep a light sage green flannel sheet on top of the regular sheet.

Minimal bedding here. A linen quilt over linen sheets by Parachute Home. Quite simple, but elegant. And comfortable.

No accessory pillows, just sleeping pillows. Definitely no hats!

Amiees bed has white vintage cotton percale sheets and pillowcases. She uses a medium weight down comforter and always uses a duvet cover in either all white or this one.

I use all white vintage long staple cotton percale sheets, medium weight down comforter and a all white cotton percale duvet cover.

Boys again vintage cotton percale sheets, medium weight down comforter with navy and white stripped duvet covers (used to be all white ones)

Mike prefers a poly filled comforter with no duvet cover. I make his bed with a top sheet, comforter, and flat sheet on top. This at least prevents me from washing the comforter every week.

Guest bed is white vintage cotton percale sheets and a vintage white chenille bed spread.

fall & winter: Black, brown, winter white duvets w/light weight insert

Right now, two comforters (one sage green, one golden tan) and a quilt with sage, golden tan, dark rose, and a few other small bits of color. In summer I use a pretty figured Laura Ashley sage blanket and a quilt that has more pinks and yellows along with green. Sometimes I switch out to a more aqua blue toned coverlet. Lots of colors will work with my wall color.

I have down comforters with duvet covers. My spare one is solid black, opens in the middle with BIG 2" silver buttons. The other is off white with black Greek key bordering the edges.

Mine is like the link but we bought it a while back and the colors are darker; burgundy, rust, brown and tans without all the blue like this one. But the print is exactly the same, we got ours from BB&B.

Mine is a quilt that goes to the floor. It is shades of purple, with embroidered flowers. The guest room quilt is shades of blue.

Changes every time I wash the sheets, we use quilts in our room and Kali’s. Guest room has either a navy comforter or a Texans one. I turned one bedroom into a closet, so no bed in there. Other bedroom is an office.

In one bedroom there is a navy and white striped comforter, second bedroom(formerly daughters) has a pale pink striped comforter with antique quilts on layers on top at the bottom. My bedroom has a Ralph Lauren navy blue comforter with a tiny white design. At the bottom is a thin striped light blue and white striped really thick down comforter. On the blanket chest, I have a pile of antique quilts for just display. There are also seven big pillows on the bed in all shades and patterns of navy blue and white. The fourth bedroom is a library.

Master and guest beds are white comforters, heavier for winter, lighter for other seasons. Boat has a medium duvet with a navy cover.

For summer I prefer to use bed spreads, but I have a hard time finding a reasonably priced and a large variety of bed spreads. Everything is comforters.

When the guys were clearing out the house after hurricane Harvey/reservoir flood, they threw away the quilts I had made so I just grabbed a light green comforter to go on the new bed (as the wall paint is a darkish turquoise). As soon as I find either the right fabric or a pretty sheet I'll make a duvet cover for it. And maybe make another quilt, we'll see. In warmer months I keep a white blanket over white sheets on it.

Duvet covers for the main bedroom - a deep red floral with a vintage feel and this cover alternates with one that is beige with a faint gold thread. Computer room has no bed and the guest bedroom has a sage green satiny bedspread with "embroidered" flowers.

I usually switch out my medium weight down comforter in the summer for a light weight one. I get cold easily. The boys don't use comforters in the summer as they sleep hot. I have some vintage muslin flat sheets that I never knew what to use them for and was actually going to make a few duvet covers with them but found a few years ago they make the perfect summer blanket for the boys. Not as lightweight as a regular sheet and not as heavy as a blanket. Only draw back is like percale muslin must be ironed in order to have that great feel.

If you all haven't figured it out yet I have an obsession with sheets like I do with laundry detergent. ..LOL. Bath and kitchen towels is another passion of mine. Haha. I need a hobby..Oh wait I have a hobby. Lol.

You already saw my bed cover, it is made from event t-shirts. Also snagged my sisters wool innards comforter, but really haven't needed it this winter. I keep my house a tad warmer now, that Charlotte is living here.

She has a crocheted blanket on her bed. Her mother made it.

all white bedding in all the bedrooms (the kids are gone).....i have one "colored" pillow on each bed with a folded quilt/comforter in a color from the pillow

We have a dark aqua coverlet and there are small quilts all over that for the cats and extra warmth.

Ours is usually pet hair colored, which is why we keep an old quilt over it unless we have company.

ETA: I like that chenille b/s you posted. I’d love to have chenille but worry dogs would play w/it. They love messing with/the fringe on my rugs. Also, never met matelasse I didn’t like.

I don’t have vintage towels or linens but I do hoard my old linens to dry the pets or mop up water leaks.

That table and legs at the room entrance/exit? Yikes. Better check the walkers at the door. LOL

Mine is a quilt from Garnet Hill. All bedrooms now have thin quilts over the comforters that we actually sleep with.

i had to figure out a solution when we "inherited" rescue dog from our DD. Hers is the chihuahua. This way it's easy to wash the quilts.

Mine is a colored quilt for winter.

For spring I have a watercolor purple and white flower duvet cover oh with a medium light duvet in it.. For summer I have a white with flowers quilt cover which I just usually use with a sheet. For fall I have a brown and white patterned quilt cover. I usually just put a blanket inside of that. I also have an assortment of wool blankets which I keep close at hand in the winter.

OMG both dogs are CUTE but the chi has stolen my heart.

My room is painted a light mint green. My quilt is green/purple/yellow.

This one I made for the bed using a combination of sheets, satin ribbon and some very pretty but somewhat expensive printed quilting fabric. The ribbon conceals the raw edges so I could make the most of the patterned material - the shams and horizontal rows for a queen size took nearly the full yard and then I made a decorative throw pillow with pleating to hide that the print material used was the scraps, raw edges also concealed with ribbon. Leftover ribbon as the ties (not shown) at one end and internally keep the duvet inside from moving around/sliding out and bunching. Our sheets are blue solid, teal solid, and gray solid - all 400tc and under $45 a set at target.

I have a white and gray comforter left over from when we staged our previous home also, however...the dog sleeps with us and I could have told the stager the futility in buying any soft home decor/furnishing that is mostly white when one has a dog. Even with washing. I have tennis balls that go in the dryer with it to keep the poly fill from being lumpy. Eventually it will become the dog’s comforter.

The kids room has two bunk beds (for up to 4 kids) and solid blue comforters, sheets are blue solid, blue stripe, and blue dots (I bought a variety of patterns in a dozen sets since sheets and kids both have to get washed really often and sometimes you have to throw out a set of sheets.)

My handmade reversible duvet cover is fabric printed with Monet's Garden at Giverny on one side and Nympheas at Giverny on the other side. I also have pillow shams and a round bedside tablecloth printed with it as well.

Here is ours. It Is a Pottery Barn quilt with the paprika color euro shams, large pillow and a throw at the end of the bed, purely for decoration. We don’t sleep under the quilt. In winter we use a light down comforter and in summer a cotton blanket. I have similar quilts on our guest beds (white or ivory) and shams and either a coverlet or throw. Makes for an easy time making the bed.

I use a cotton matelasse cal king bedspread but it seems they are non-existent in the stores now. Unfortunately, they do shrink so I keep the side near the wall shorter than the other one. We only use cotton sheets and blankets as comforters, etc. make us too hot.

Bright white comforter. It's supposed to have a cover on it but I wanted white. I'm getting bored with it and my walls...which are creamy off white/yellowish. That and the furniture, that don't match each other. I just don't want to spend the money right now to make it look nice.

Kath you could buy a white duvet cover. At least than your comforter won't need washed all the time.

Off white -- Bates type bedspread -- it can take all the washing and drying you can give it.
