Does anyone have experience with 'Winter Nelis' pears?
Comments (5)My family has had a Winter Nellis tree for fifty years. The tree is on property we bought and I would guess the tree was planted in the 1920's. The only thing it is good for IMHO is to wrap the fruit in newspaper and put it in a root cellar. It will provide fresh pears at Christmas. My mother used to do this, but I haven't done it for years. It has those grit cells and I don't think it is particularly a good pear. It just does not compare to Bosc or Comice, but I haven't been able to keep those two until Christmas. I think the tree is very nice appearing. Anything seems to pollinate it. Any seedling will not be Winter Nellis, but a cross....See MoreDoes anyone have experience using Mangosteen?
Comments (4)Yes I use mangosteen and have had wonderful results for both myself and my dogs. I am no longer on my sinus/allergy meds OR my Celebrex for arthritis. My dog is on deramaxx and I have been giving her the juice, she was down to just 1/4 of the dose the vet recomended. I posted in another thread that she is a pickey eater and does not always eat her food (that the juice is in) I started to syringe (sp) feed her the juice on the days she does not eat. I have her off her deramaxx completely for the last few days and her mobility seem to have actually improved! She shows no signs of pain at all. I research this juice very carefully. I drink the origional mangosteen juice, Xango. Vemma does have some mangosteen juice in it but not enough for what you need if you are looking to control pain and inflamation. Email me and I will be happy to provide detailed information. lvlice@aol.com...See MoreDoes anyone here have experience using quartz on shower walls?
Comments (4)$80 would be rock bottom. Not sure I‘d trust anyone who charged the same amount as a counter top. This is much harder than you think. The material has to actually be able to travel through the house and through the bathroom door. Very often, that route isn’t large enough to have that happen, and walls must be taken down, and rebuilt, just to get it in the bathroom. Now, the bath walls have to be super flat and plumb. That requires reframing all of lf them, or sistering all of them. Before the job is ever templated. You don’t get to cut a faucet hole in it after it’s installed. Your shower stub outs are fixed in place, and this has to fit precisely. Plus the stainless lugs in the studs that this has to mount to, etc. $100 a square would be more the starting point. And only a very few folks in each region are going to really have the skill to start thinking about this....See MoreDoes anyone have experience using Zenit or Syncron by Alvic?
Comments (1)Yes, I've heard of the Fenix Nanotech Matt finishes. They were on display over a year ago at the big KBIS show in the United States, which is how I first learned about them. If you can find a dealer ready to help, that would be awesome! I think it's definitely worth a try. Italian companies are known for being leaders in the coatings industry. Don't know anything about the other brands....See Moreponcirusguy6b452xx
