Any Canada border crossing experts here? Cross posted to Kitchen Table
Comments (23)Thanks for that link - I've looked at it over and over (found it when searching myself) and Maddie copied from it, I believe. I realized I was confused because part way down the list, it switches to items allowed from other countries (not the US) and says milk is prohibited: Dairy products cheese: up to 20 kilograms per person Please note that quantities in excess of $20.00 may be subject to high rates of duty. The CBSA is responsible for determining customs and duties for items coming into Canada. These items are not allowed milk milk products (whey, cream, skim milk, butter oil, and so on) in these forms: dried, frozen, reconstituted, or fresh I didn't notice the heading change so was VERY confused! Now I think I have it straight. I tried to follow the link to inside the link to get specific fruit and vegetable info, but it's impossible to use (at least from my Mac). I'll just not spend $10 on organic cherries and risk having to discard them. I'll put some raisins and dried apples in his pack. I realized I'll want to go to the grocery anyway before we leave so I can get some Sultanas and Ketchup flavored potato chips to bring back for my friends!...See MoreAny Color Experts on here?

Comments (44)Jill302, thank you for that link. It sure looks like the person my DH spoke to was wrong. That makes more sense and makes the choice easier for me. Oakley, BCBS is the provider for the plans I can get that offer some out of network coverage, but it's 30-50% and would apply to everyone I would see at home other than my PCP and in-patient care at one hospital. None of my generic medications would be covered, and for all of that I would be paying hundreds of dollars more each month -- just to not risk being drained or bankrupt by an out of state and out of network medical surprise. I have been covered by BCBS many times, including most recently. I would have stayed with them if they offered individual coverage that would equal my group coverage -- even at the COBRA rates, it would have been a viable option. The plans they do offer individuals don't work for me....See MoreAny graphite pencil experts here?
Comments (18)I'm so good! That's what I tell my family when I figure something out. Right after I did this topic I ordered a 3 pack of white vinyl erasers before reading the replies. :) Z, I saw those and thought how cool they are! It may be a gift for next Christmas. Cyn, when drawing you have to be specific on what type of pencil is needed. There are charcoal pencils, colored pencils, even liquid graphite pencils. Also there are different strengths of graphite for different projects. My dad (along with DS) was a civil engineer and I'd find green drafting pencils (wood) on his desk and swipe one. Wish I'd kept just one pencil. I'm good on pencil recommendations via all the money we paid for DS's tuition. 😊...See MoreUser
