A ceiling fan in the master bathroom?
Comments (7)Kim, Thank you so very much! The fan is made by Craftmade Fans. Made right here in Texas :) I knew I didn't want to go with another *big box* (China made) store brand and did my research as to what made a good fan. A heavy duty motor and pitch of the blades are important. They are a combination of good quality and good price. We installed two, one in the master bedroom and bathroom. The style (that I incorrectly indicated on my list of materials) is Pheonix NOT Cordova. The price was just under $150 Below is a link to the Pheonix. There are TWO pages of blade color/motor color combos. I bought ours on line at hansenwholesale.com 1(800)201-1193. Great customer service and quick delivery (no tax). I didn't order the remote at the time, but I'm going to do so right now. The chandy is by AF Lighting. Comments (10)A kid's bathroom usually means a tub/shower surround. If so... I prefer the vent in the ceiling within the tub enclosure. It's a fine place for a vent/light combo. It's best to have them controlled with a timer switch. Turn the switch ON and the shower light and fan turn on. Turn the switch OFF and the light turns off but the fan runs for a preset time, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes as chosen by you, then the fan turns off automatically. Then have bathroom lighting in the bathroom itself. Sconces on each side of the mirror, or ceiling lights. Depends on the size/style/layout of the room. Ventilation should be functional, it's best to have it as close to the source of moisture as possible. Lighting should be functional, ie, is it general room lighting or makeup lighting; eliminating facial shadows at the mirror, etc....See MoreWhat size pendant light for my remodeled master bathroom?

Comments (3)Add underfloor heating and the separate heater and separate fan. They should be located strategically. And do a towel warmer. It won’t be too warm. Hopefully it will be enough. When your body is wet, and air is moving, as it needs to be in order to control the excess humidity released into your home, the skin can become quite chilled. Even in quite warm temperatures, people can feel cold when they are wet. That’s why it’s important to control the air flow path, potentially with a second fan, and targeted areas of warmth that include the ability to dry off quickly....See Morewritersblock (9b/10a)
