I had the same problem last weekend when I went to pick out a new floor for my kitchen. Our cabinets are maple but are a dark redish brown. We almost bought a lighter color laminate but decided to go dark with colors of the cabinets running through the laminate. We purchased Pergo Global Passage and are very happy with them so far. I installed them in a day and they are very tough. I have three kids all under the age of 6 and they tore our real hardwood floors up in our last house. They also have allergies and the laminate stays very clean and there are no edges to catch crumbs. Here's a before and after picture of my kitchen which is almost completed. I would make a decision about what is going to happen with the rest of the house in 2022. If you decide not to replace the floor next year, then try to match the kitchen to what you have in the rest of your home. If you decide to replace the flooring in your home in 2022, just put something inexpensive and easy to remove (sheet vinyl??). And then replace it all next year. Don't try to hang on to the kitchen flooring just because it is new.

I have been living with the acorn color for two weeks now on my second floor. I am more traditional, like you are. The floor installer said he liked working with this product and the quality was excellent. It looks very nice and it is comfortable underfoot, easy to clean and doesn’t show dirt. The only thing that surprised me was that the actual product out of the box looks darker than the sample, but I do still like it.

OP: don't be discouraged here. there are quite a few pros and 'semi-pros' who really know their stuff. As with advice, you can take it or leave it but at least you get well rounded opinions and can go from there. what the fun if everyone agrees, at least you get something to think about with the differing opinions and it might be a better path in the long run:) that being said, i do agree with others to stay away from all gray floor. your best bet for a mostly un-dated floor is a medium brown wood tone floor. light and dark go in and out of style. glad u ordered your sparkly quartz b/c u love it and its your house!! i do like your 3rd sample, Nakan.. a nice medium brown wood tone !!
