There is actually a huge, multi year thread titled “calling all Fantasy Brown Owners”. You might want to search for that, I haven’t read it but it pops up frequently so seems pretty active. You may get some good insight from that, although it is likely too long to read in full.

I tested a polished but unsealed fantasy brown sample with vinegar, red wine, and mustard. The brown bits etched a little, but the greenish and white areas didn't. Nothing stained it. I felt that it was much more robust than marble. The only reason I didn't use it is because I had two corners I didn't want to try to book match. Your slab is beautiful.

I just finished reading that gigantic thread about the Fantasy Brown. Cheri 127, what do you mean by book match?

Fantasy Brown is beautiful! They just didn’t have it in any colors that I liked in the thickness we were getting. Our slab yard called it a granite.

Twosit- book match means that the patterns are a mirror image. Ours is but it was just by chance. We didn’t go looking for it to be that way.
