Pendant lighting shade replacement

Hi all! I want to replace the shades on our pendant lights. I really don’t want to replace the entire fixture.
The current glass shade is the smallest fitter (1” category) and I cannot find what I want in that size.
Any ideas on how to scale down a shade with a larger fitter? Is that doable? Can a washer be put in first then the larger shade then screw in the ‘thing’ that holds the shade on?
Help?!

I can't really make out how the globes attach to the fixture from the pictures. Normally I would think a washer inside the globe would work, but that doesn't look possible with the new globe. But, I think that you could attach a washer, if you can find one that is large enough yet has the opening size that you need, to the top of the globe. Maybe something brass so it looks like it should be there. You would need a very strong, permanent adhesive, something like JB Weld.

Check out WAC and buy the shades you like at the same time. They have plenty of fixtures which use a variety of shades. Manufacturers will frequently change the specs of a fixture or discontinue the fixture without notice. It would be much easier on you to buy the replacement shades at the same time as the fixtures.

If it's a standard ceiling box in the ceiling, the 4" coverplate will work. The larger plate could just be a design feature by the manufacturer. There's also the possibility that the larger cover was used to cover up a hole which was cut too large. You'll know as soon as the existing plate is removed.

How much kitchen grime builds up on your kitchen surfaces (like the tops of picture frames, ceiling fan blades, current light fixtures) and how quicly does it accumulate? I decided against any light with fabric because my kitchen seems to get grimy and I know it would bug me if I couldn't clean it properly. If your current light fixtures stay clean without cleaning them for a few years, then why not go for fabric. Also, can you replace the fabric part if you need to in a few years?

I believe that was from LBL lighting which is now under the tech lighting umbrella, not sure they make it anymore. also try Besa lighting, Access lighting and Eurofase lastly ET2
