Mayflowers, yes, I think we're done....but also putting our closet together right now. I'll post pics when it's done. But then of course help with the bathroom backsplash. Thinking of a mini ledgestone. We don't need the basement done for a while, DS still likes to play basketball and Hot Wheels down there so no sense doing it. We are going to get the front yard redone this summer though. Overall it's been a busy 3.5 years. I feel like posting befores and afters of the whole house but my house is always a bit of a disaster LOL!

I see no reason, you need to do anything to the cabinets, from your pictures. They look good. Gel stain isnt as easy to use as you might think it is. Once you put it on, if you dont like it, you are pretty well stuck, at refinishing, or at least a lot of sanding and prep work to paint cabinets, that looks pretty nice to begin with .

This is what we ended up with after many many trial and error on our white oak quarter sawn island and hood. We initially assumed we would use a natural clear finish, but samples all went very yellow. After almost giving up, our cabinet guy tried white stain by none other than- Minwax-and we think it got pretty close to what we wanted!
