I had never heard of it. Looks fun! I don't craft so much anymore. If I didn't have other projects in process, I would try it.

I love it! It is very relaxing. I keep it on the dining room table, and work on it for 5-15 minutes at a time. I am currently on my third one. The first two had round diamonds; this one is square diamonds. I prefer the round. You certainly can't beat the prices.

Intriguing - I just googled it and found a store in Wisconsin that sells these kits. :)

Looks like fun! Could a child do it? My granddaughter is 6, but she does some projects with those tiny beads (I forget what it's called, mom irons it and all the beads stick together).

Why does the owl look like beads but not the (beautiful) kitty?

Joann, I would be very interested to see your finished kit of the cat. I love that picture, have seen it available as a t-shirt. But, the diamond paintings will be pixilated, which that picture is not. It would have to be a very large picture to be that flowing, in my opinion. I am intrigued, though. Please let us know what you discover when you begin working on it. Thank you.

There are ebay sellers in the US you just have to use the filters when you search and select US only. I always do that so I don't have to wait for a slow boat from China. I wish Amazon had a way to filter out the China sellers. I just waited over a month for a cell phone case. I would never have ordered it had I known it was a China seller. It takes too long.

I don't know how tofind US sellers, how do you find them?. That link showed only China sellers. US sellers want much more for their kits so I will wait and order ahead of time'

The link I posted are US sellers. Look at the information on the seller it shows where it is located and shipping from.

When you do a search on eBay once you get the results, on the left side of the page are various options, one of which is the location, US only is a choice select it and any other filter like price range, color etc and it will update the search with the proper results.

It will put in some China sellers on the list but it will usually say sponsored and say China.

See that is the very first seller in the link above they are a US seller, shipping from US.

This is the one for the wishing tree which is very pretty. It shows exactly where in the US it is located.

It's not perfect unfortunately some do somehow make it through the filters but it is very helpful to try to weed out the China sellers. I always check the location of the sellers. I hate discovering I bought from one and will be waiting and waiting for my delivery. However I have always received them and in good condition.

When you do searches on Ebay, use the minus sign to filter your search, in addition to what Raven is telling you. Put a space between filtered words in the search bar. ie:

-plated -crystal -gf -filled -silver

The technique used on the cat photo is called fractal. I can't imagine the little lines will turn out. But it's a beautiful photo technique! Would love to see the finished product.

Wanda, can you let me in on that facebook page where they make the kits from photos? My friend in England would love that. Are they very expensive that way?

I was watching you tube videos and they have several mentions of facebook groups there and in the comments section if you want some links to those.

I see tons of "Diamond Painting" kits on Amazon. I've never seen or done one, so don't know if that's the same thing you're talking about, but the completed pictures look just like those I see on this thread. Free shipping with most of them with a Prime membership. Most of the kits are inexpensive there.

I finished the magic cat today, I'm not happy with the way it turned out, I like the picture much better : ^ ( The mouth just isn't right. I am working on a seahorse now and I think it will turn out like the picture looks.

That's pretty much what I expected, Joann. Hope the other is closer to the picture.
