- 8 years agoSun today! The cats and I enjoyed sitting down in the orchard for nearly an hour. Tomorrow there is snow in the forecast. Every year a round Jan. 26th, my Dad's birthday, there is a snow fall of some sort, usually a blizzard or a mini blizzard; but I don't think we'll get all that much tomorrow.
8 years agoMy DD has a creative streak. We went to bunch today to celebrate my birthday and this is how she wrapped my gift - reservations for the 2 of us to have afternoon tea.
I didn't get a good shot of the teacup - she rolled french ribbon up to resemble a rose and placed it inside the cup.

I tried to reconstruct the wrapping so that I could get a better perspective - please ignore the wrinkled, taped tissue paper. But at least you can see the teacup a little better. The napkin is a small image of 2 women drinking tea by Mary Cassett and the tea bag is a teeny birthday card. Inside the rolled up paper was a miniature menu from the Mary Cassett Tea Room.
