Comments (3)I'm not a fan of TV's over fireplaces. I would close up the niches if you could and then use a console with the TV above it. Since you already have limited wall space with all the windows having the niches is just overkill....See MoreHelp! How to decorate small combo dining room/living room...
Comments (2)Do you own or is this a rental? The pix look a little stretched like realty ones. Since there is a rad between the doors, forget putting TV there. I'd keep the dining close to the kitchen and put the sitting/TV area to focus on the long wall. Start with the fun project of finding a knockout chandelier to hang from that pretty ceiling. Is there a fridge under the microwave? I see only one wall outlet behind the door and one above the counter, so you'll have to use extension cords and cord covers along the baseboards to have enough lighting here. Consider floating your sofa facing the long wall and TV. Then use a drop leaf table behind it for dining. You'll be able to open it all the way for entertaining. Anchor your seating area with a rug 2-3 feet wider than your sofa....See Morewall decor for small dining area
Comments (30)I love that colorful pop and it looks great with your furniture. Can’t tell from the photo angle if it’s centered with the wall, centered with the light fixture? Ideally both are in the center. Your hanging plant will allow you to cheat a little on the exact measurements. Nice change!...See MoreHelp with decorating my small narrow space
Comments (6)I like what you've done so far. Long skinny pass-through rooms are challenging for furniture arranging and yours looks like it works. Plus it's just appealing. Embrace the cozy. I'd put a large rug at the living room end. A big one, almost wall-to-wall. (Then you won't have a rug corner to trip on heading for the hall.) It'll make the LR more of it own room and chop up the bowling alley lane down the middle. I think a rug will make a huge difference in an already pleasing space. Window treatments could be changed out--I'd like something with more substance. I'd probably lower the art a little but you need to keep it safe from knocks so that might not be possible. I'm not completely sure about the green wall. A dark wall makes the room look loooonger. But it does a nice job blending in the TV. Does the clock over the dog bed chime? Does the dog mind? :)...See MoreDave Tisdale
