I have that exact same desk! I bought it at Pier One in the early 90's. It's been in 3 homes with me, one in the Netherlands. Good score!!!

I'm going to join in on the "warming" trend. Do you actually work from home? There is a difference from actually WORKING and working. If your work depends on it, then the room needs to be productive and comfortable. If it's not a full time job, then you have more options based on your preferences. It looks like a nice sized space. If you are going to be doing Zoom meetings or anything where the wall behind you is in view, consider the color and decor for THAT wall to be especially important. Maybe a focal color as a good backdrop to shelves, artwork, or credentials. Where did you get the sofa? I really like it and it looks to be about the right size and color for MY home office, lol so anything you can tell me about it would be appreciated!

I love the Bright Green Office; looks very logical. I love your room. If you want some art in the room, get it first and let it drive your color scheme. Get rid of everything in the room, except what you need to work in the room, and organize it into boxes, bins, what ever so you can think straight about what goes where when. Then paint the room a nice soothing color you like...pick a color then go two tints lighter! And paint! Then decide where the desk will go and set up the computer. Find a concealer for wires and plugs online or at the container store. Add shelves and designated closed storage, even if it is baskets or fabric bins with clear large name tag designation for each bin.....get a perch for the kitty, and your are pretty done......anyway that is just my suggestion, but it might help?

Style: suggest a calm oasis; decide on a style/how you want room to not only function, but feel. I chose the look below and went from there, which is a much easier way to decide on individual items. Inspiration: Don’t take up floor space or long wall for your desk and create a decent sitting area to relax and read (window seat is not ideal). Add a love seat on long wall, collage, good lighting for reading and stacking table if space allows. Take advantage of window’s view and the space, placing desk there (facing into room if you prefer). TV left of entrance, hang it low and accessorizing will be key. Love the look below as tv fades away and area is interesting. Layer. On short wall near corner add a small bookcase. Be creative in how books are placed.
