If you are looking for 36 inches with legs, try going to a kitchen cabinet provider that does stock and semi-custom. They have stock sizes that include drawers. For instance, they can put two 18 inch drawer banks together for you. They can also do the plumbing cutout or fake the top drawer. I just had this done and what we did was take stock sizes to configure a 62 inch double vanity. We used double door cabinets under each sink with interior drawers (all soft close - both the doors and the drawers) (pretty great - we can get to all out storage) and then in between the sinks we have 3 soft close drawers, 1 vanity size and two really deep ones. The bottom drawer also has an integrated electrical outlet for the blow dryer. We had the vanity wall mounted so that we also got the countertop up a little higher and we had 4 matching wood legs put on. The legs aren't that high but they still convey a lot of space because you can see under the vanity. It wasn't that much. For a 62 inch semi custom cabinet, it was 1,000 - that doesn't include the counterop and sinks or the electrical outlet. The cabinet quality is very good, solid wood contruction with very good walnut veneer. There was a pretty good selection of style/wood/cabinet face options.

Hi enduring, Do you rememeber you helped me with my bathtub decision? I am so glad I could offer bathroom vanity photos for your reference. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. First photo is the bathroom full view. The vanity cabinet is custom made using clear alder wood. Cabinet pulls are from Ikea. The counter top is made of quartzite Moonlight. We use same quartzite to trim around the bathtube, shower nitch, and window frame. The quartzite is very pretty, almost maintainence free, super easy to clean. We thought it would be easier to bath small kids, we decided using long shower curtain (from Restoration Hardware) instead of glass shower door. This photo shows the towels storage. I put two big bathsheets, and one roll of paper towel in the top drawer. There are 4 regular bathtowels and 4 face towels in the bottom drawer. The 2 top drawers on the right sides I keep make ups, grooming items, in the bottom drawer I put a bath scale and jewelry cleaner there. This photo shows trash pull out. The top shelf I put hair products there. 2nd shelf I put body wash, mouth wash, body lotion, shampoo bottles, face cleaner..etc. 10 full size bottles in total, and still has room for more. Next to the Toto toilet there is storage room for toilet paper rolls, paper towel and magazine rack. By the toilet (cannot see from the photo) there is an electrical outlet in case we want to add a washelet later. The two wooden boxes next to the mirror are medcine cabinets. The only doors are under the sink. There is plenty room for cleaning products and equipments. The top left drawer is for medicine. The 2nd drawer keeps hair drayer, curling iron, and toiletry bags for trips.The bottom drawer is for shoe polishing kit, shoe pads, emergency medicine bag...etc. . As I mentioned earlier, I am glad we chose full size cabinet. The ample storage keeps everything, so nothing is out. thanks bbtrix! those pendants look great and I'm not getting the claustrophobic feeling or feeling like they are blocking my line of sight. I think I've decided to go with lights in the beam like eam44 posted, so thanks for that eam44. We can't put lights in the support beam obviously, but we are going to build a small soffit around the beam to hide the duct work as well as the recessed lighting, and I am working on figuring out how to put wood facing on it to make it look like the whole thing is one big support beam made out of reclaimed wood or something similar. Then we would have the lights coming out of that wood facing like in the second photo eam44 posted.

OK I experimented with a lamp and definitely prefer the light more in front than on the side. So decided against the sconces on the side wall--thanks for the input! I talked to my KD, and she mentioned pendant lights, which would give more options on where to put the lights. Also wouldn't have to cut into mirror for the sconces. This isn't the look I'm going for, but an example of pendants in a craftsman bathroom This is more my inspiration for colors and feel: New questions: 1. I think I've narrowed down some of the fixtures. Would you prefer the pendant or the sconce? 2. Most of the pros I've talked to in person don't seem to like the idea of the mirrors flanking the medicine cabinet, saying the light will reflect in odd ways. I'd be fine with the 24' medicine cabinet as a mirror, but would want to do larger if it makes sense. I don't think I've seen negative feedback on GW for lights in front of mirrors--anyone aware of complaints with this set up? Thank you!
