You're on the right path trying to tie up all these loose ends before May. Have you thought about posting over in Kitchens also? So many there have heavily researched lights that someone may have seen the perfect fixture for you. Plus, I know everyone would like to see your progress. :) When I saw that first WE fixture, I thought of a Barbara Cosgrove pendant I like. It echoes the shape. I'll link it below. You might look around for other lights on that site, too. Some of them get into the $$$ range though. I don't care for the mod WE glass cluster you just posted. How far apart would the peninsula and banquette fixtures be? I'm thinking that you might want to scrap the peninsula pendant... Dining chairs with arms are much more difficult to get in and out of than those without arms, and must be scooted back a ways to do so. The depth of the curves on your chairs makes them almost as deep as arms. The metal protectors that came on my "good" dining set slide very well on the rug. The plastic ones we bought for the kitchen set can get dirt/sand imbedded in them if not used on a rug. My kitchen table is the same width and length as yours, although it's a rectangle so has more surface space at each end. We usually have 6 to 8 people for birthdays, holidays, etc. and with 8 people, putting the serving dishes on the table gets very crowded, but that may depend on how many offerings you have. Anne

Yes... I was originally going to make the tabletop 36"W, but after reading those specs on Arhaus.com I decided to widen it to at least 38" to accommodate the bases. The mounting issue was another thing I tried to discuss with the online "designer" and didn't get any help with. In this picture it looks like there are holes on the top of them, but since my top is 2 cm quartz, I won't be using any screws into it to attach them. The stone fabricator will install the top similar to how they install countertops to cabinet bases, using a special epoxy glue. But I will definitely show these bases to them first to make sure it can be attached properly! As far as other coordinating colors in my home, I am planning on replacing most of the existing fixtures (except wood floors) so I'm basically starting from scratch with the 2 tables in question, the tan leather sofa and 3 kitchen chairs I already have. From there I will decide on barstools, light fixtures, rugs, banquet cushions and other accessories, incorporating an accent color or 2 in some of those. Interesting idea to do the bar table legs in an fun accent color, but I think choosing that now would be putting the cart before the horse! Maybe I'll skip that step for now and keep the existing black legs that are on it (knowing that they will eventually be changed) until I choose my kitchen table base and barstools. Does anyone else think the brass bases might look more (or too) formal than the black ones?

I'd fill in that one railing at the minimum. How do you plan on placing the bench? if you want that 3 sided bench, it would be best if all rails were gone. if you want to do an L bench, you can keep the round table. (if you refinish it and get chairs it would look really cute) where these shelves are, would be where your one set of railing is. notice the round table though. If you want to have an L shape, or the U shape, you're prob going to have to use the round table. Why don't you measure out the bench depth/height (wherever you want the bench) and then measure out a rectangle. don't forget to leave room for legs and bodies to get in and out. hard to see, but the shorter L portion is against the other rail U shape bench. I'd remove all of the railing and do solid half walls You could do a bench like this against the wall, bring ina rectangle and situate it like this. if you do that the railing could prob stay or like this. the railing would be where this window is. Do you have enough room to do a rectangle? Or, leave the railing in the middle, put a bench on the wall and put another bench against this far railing (and make into a half wall). two benches will face each other. you have the perfect inset spot there to place the bench. then just do a table in the middle. I think you may have room to do something like this. only an L shape though you can buy settees like this or like these This could be cute. settees, L shape w/backs-make one rail a half wall. but on the far right, this bench is more like a chaise. you could leave the railing as is Here's the actual pic
