How to use gardenweb

When I get into gardenweb, my url ends using https://www.houzz.com/discussions/home-and-garden-discussions-dsbr0-bd~ instead of gardenweb's url. Very frustrating. How I can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

How do you "get into" GardenWeb? A bookmark?

SB, you just edit or make a new bookmark for the page you want to start at. I might suggest http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums.

Yes, I think you're right, ming. I think that Friday is just for members (but if you're not a member you can probably become one right then and there). FYI, the plant & seed swap in Phoenix is in the morning. Party starts at 9am (see other thread on this board). So depending on your schedule, you might want to come to the swap first then hit the plant sale on the way home. BTW, next weekend, there's a plant sale at Tohono Chul Park on the northwest side of town. So if you miss the Botanical Garden plant sale this weekend, not to fear.

Let's keep this on tip along with the Read Me thread.... MudHouse - I will be starting a new Read Me thread in the near future (I can no longer edit the original one), so I would like to add this one to the list of temporary (I hope) topics. I'm also going to add a message telling people to start their own thread if they have questions to (1) minimize hijacking of threads and (2) try to stop people from reviving old threads with their (new) question. There's probably nothing that can be done about the pros who are self-advertising themselves by pretending to help the OP of a thread that's years old...

Using Houzz app to access GardenWeb is a bust
Q
Comments (0)
Recently, someone here mentioned having trouble when trying to use the Houzz app to access GardenWeb forums. Someone on the Houzz staff was kind enough to let me know (several weeks after writing to them!) that the Houzz App does NOT work for GardenWeb forums! They said that the Landscape Design forum could only be accessed via the regular Internet channels when using a mobile device. Thought I would mention it so people could end their futile attempts to get here with the Houzz App.

This: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/ still works for me.

For several years I started with a Google Advanced Search for: site:gardenweb‍.cοm -ths -"hot topics" and then selected 'last 24 hours' resulting in all gardenweb only for the last 24 hours. Then on or about January 8th it just quit. Now it gives me usually about 6-12 hits mostly Kitchen Table.

Thanks for the replies. I have been busy/away.

Kudzu9, yes, I use bookmarks to go directly in my pre-selected set forums... I know is subject to change

Steve J, yeah, I tried there already and got nowhere. Thanks though!

albert_135 Sunset 2b, yes, I have tried that too and end on the houzz webpages when I clicked some of the links in there: compare hypertufa and hydroponics versus hydrangea.

I don't know what the problem is, but something is messed up and you should simply start over:

Type www.gardenweb.com into your browser and it will take you to the forums (left column, under "GardenWeb Discussions"). Delete any old bookmark that no longer takes you where you expect to go.

my bookmark is "ths.gardenweb.com" and it takes me to what was the 'That Home Site' forums.
