Sub-Zero fully integrated 27 inch model 700tci
Comments (19)@opaonePurchased and installed in 2013. We have two side by side. One of the freezer arms will not stay in the off position and you have to remember to reach in and manipulate if you want ice. The other freezer is fine. We have had them here 3 times to repair it and they say it is fine. We would also have build up of frost. Bad heating element in freezer has been replaced. The have had to remount the compressor unit most recently. The most annoying problem is that you will open the fridge one day and water is all over the bottom of refrigerator and leaking out. The refrigerator "drains" clog and it causes quite a mess and I have to then have them come out for repairs to take it apart in order to get to the drains. It is always a service charge of $90 just to show up and then the labor and parts usually has it add up from anywhere between $180-400. When they were still under warranty Subzero would pay for the parts....See MoreRefrig-fully integrated/bottom freezer--Miele vs SubZero?
Comments (2)We are building a house and we chose the Miele 36 inch--not yet installed. We were sold by the quality of the door, the way the custom wood could completely cover the fridge door, the beautiful lighting, the crisper, the completely movable shelves and lots of reading from these forums re: some of the issues with the sub zero. If you go to the showroom it helps to see the differences. We are counting on the Miele track record stated in this forum. Because it is counter depth, we know we will only have fresh items--within view. We decided on refrigerator drawers in our island to off load our fridge of drinks and such....See MoreHelp with Sub Zero integrated fridge size question.
Comments (9)If you are worried that it might be too small, then I would look for something else. I had a 48" SZ when my kids were home and I felt that at times it was not big enough, and I always had an extra refrigerator for overflow. In my new kitchen, I went with the 36" built in all refrigerator with the compressor on top, mainly because I am shorter and its easier to reach the top shelf. I like to have a lot of produce space, but it really all depends on your personal shopping, storing and cooking habits. I do have a friend who has the unit you are considering in the all refrigerator version, and then put in a set of freezer drawers next to it. That may be another option to consider....See MoreSUB-ZERO Fridge... "Built-In" vs "Integrated"
Comments (20)I think I can break this down. Subzero appliances are all "built-in". They have 3 lines, Classic, Designer, and Pro. The relevant, to this conversation, difference between the Classic and Designer are the hinges. The Designer hinges are fully concealed and articulated, and they don't need clearances on either side of the appliance. This allows for a tighter fit and less space on either side for hinge clearances. It created a more seamless and European look. Classic: These can be installed 2 different ways: Standard (stands proud of the cabinets) or Inset (flush with cabinets/panels). Designer: These are installed 1 way: Inset (flush with cabinets) Here is a great article I found today that helped me. https://www.designerappliances.com/blog/sub-zero-built-in-vs-integrated-refrigerator/ Another article from Subzero on the differences. https://www.subzero-wolf.com/assistance/answers/sub-zero/common/built-invs-integrated-series-comparison.html...See MoreSteve J
