Terrazzo floor grout
Comments (1)If it scratches easily from grouting, then that's some of the cheapest terrazzo I've ever heard of. Typically, terrazzo is some of the toughest materials around. As for the joiunt size and epoxy, that also shouldn't be a problem. Don't over-study it. Most epoxies are made with super fine sands so that there ISN'T a problem with the msaller grout joints. now, it's been a long time since I've used the kerapoxy. But I've used Opti-color several times in the recent past, and I know it has the fine sand, and that's also a Mapei epoxy....See MoreTerrazzo floor tiles

Comments (12)The terrazzo is the MOST EXPENSIVE FLOOR in your home. Just as live_wire_oak pointed out. You have a modern style with a tendency to move towards blue instead of gray. I know the colour of the terrazzo isn't what you were hoping for, but it is THE FLOOR for Mid-Century Modern! So think "60's" Mod. The glam in the 60's (in Britain = the Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Twiggy, etc) was all about the light browns/yellows working with Robins Egg blue, etc and BOLD art. If you can embrace those floors, you will be TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars ahead of the game. The other tiles could be lost tomorrow and the cost of the house wouldn't budge. You lose the terrazzo and your home devalues very, very quickly. See what you can come up with in a retro style if you can. If not, then cover them with cut/trimmed carpet that is made to measure in your home. A better carpet vendor can do this. It isn't the cheapest option but it does everything you need it to do WITHOUT disturbing the terrazzo. In fact, a wood floor would be IDENTICAL in colour to those floors. A natural white oak floor would be the same colour as the terrazzo. Ask yourself what you would do if this was natural hardwood? How would you work with the material/colour? That's your answer to the question. Do what you would normally do if the terrazzo was 'honey oak' hardwood floors. The colour range is almost identical....See MoreKeep terrazzo flooring?
Comments (23)Thanks everyone. those pictures definitely help in seeing how warm and inviting it can feel. I honestly just imagined it looking like a hospital or school. I have heard that some stains do remain if too deep...See MoreCreative Ceramic & Marble/ Bill Vincent
