So we bought our first home and we’re doing a Reno. We have a living room that joins a dining room on an L. And of course the kitchen joins the dining room, forming a full U. The living room is light taupe with grey toned wood floors, and the dining room has deep blue green walls. The kitchen has whites and woods- pretty neutral. I’m wondering, since the living room is light walls + dark floors, if it would look odd if the dining room was dark walls + light floors. I’m thinking it might look better with the tiles being similar value to the living room floor but idk. I wouldn’t mind doing light or dark, but I feel like my partner is liking the idea of light tiles (but not saying anything). The kitchen and dining room would share the same flow of tiles. The first 3 photos depict the dining room wall colour and the accent colours. The fourth picture depicts my living room wall colour and floors in there. I will add more pictures of my tile options.
