Anyway, I remember reading your intro post and the "face" I put on your kitchen was sort of take on plllog's second kitchen only with red cabinets and no round prep space or modern backsplash. If you go with metal counters, my vote is to let the surface develop it's own patina ala circuspeanut instead of forcing it. As for reconciling your differences with SWMBO - DH picked out most of our aesthetic details (with only slight nudging from myself) and I held firm on the layout issues.

Ahhh, one of my favorite things in the world. Whoever said they were addicting is absolutely right! I would ask around to see who does a good pedicure in your area, all are NOT the same. I would be careful about places that razor your callouses. In my state its illegal but some places are still doing it. The razoring makes your feet feel and look nice at first, but it does so much damage with cracking and spittling its not worth it. Also there is a high risk of infection. DONT LET THEM DO THE RAZORING, LET THEM BUFF YOUR FEET with a foot file! I agree the french polish is the way to go for a wedding and a mocha dress. Its clean, classy and it goes with everything. Get yourself a manicure at the same time with matching french nails! The wednesday before should be fine, of course the closer to the day of the wedding the better. ENJOY!

Finally the "out the door" arrived! The OPI is strong, but not shiny. It also takes a long time to cure/dry. Out the Door dried very quickly when I applied a top coat last night on top of the OPI. I'll get my nails done on Thursday and use it instead of the OPI and see how it holds up.

TG's nails look fine because they are still proud of the finger tip, but this look is one I don't find attractive, even though they are clean and someone has taken time for a manicure. The color just calls attention to the short nails and 'naked' fingertips. When I look at this pic, I can feel that sensation I get when I break a nail to the quick, and something touches the sensitive part. Probably the same way my DD (and rob333) feels when someone touches her feet. I have similar reaction when I see a person with long fingernails (or toenails) that curl around.
