I several growing in the ground in various degrees of light. They seem to do best with a little bit of shade during the summer.They are very easy to propigate by division.

Sorry, Spathoglottis plicata needs tropical conditions to survive outdoors. Cairns, Australia, Miami Florida, Hawaii etc. etc. Do not know what sort of low it will tolerate on Winter's nights.

It does grow like a weed in Hawaii. It has invaded some of Kawamoto offerings, I once got it as a hitch hiker with something else. They tell me it is all over their yard and pops up in their pots uninvited. Right now the alba variety and a bright yellow variety are in spike. I hope to have all 3 in bloom at the same time and photograph them together. Nick

Beautiful blooms. Glad that your home & orchids were safe. We've been having seasons of drought repeating over & over. Bad news for those of us in various agriculture areas. Sheila :)
