I receive fewer each year, but I make my own cards out of one of my photos and write my own haiku to go with them so I do enjoy sending them out. I enclose an update letter on how we're doing. People have told me that they enjoy my cards, so I keep sending them.

I make all of my own cards and just sent out 83 of them. I love doing the cards. In some I put little typewritten notes letting people know that we now have two new family members...the two kittens we rescued.

I get a few each year. One from my parents, and my siblings and a few cousins that I can't distinguish from one another send those photocards that you can make online with your family pic. I send 4,since I don't have a family to take a picture of. 2 of my nephews are my godsons as well,and so they get their Christmas money in a card,my parents get one because I feel an obligation to send one,and I get one for our one any only neighbor,because i like her,shes quiet and doesn't bother us in our peaceful little spot of the country.

I have cut back, but still send (and receive) about 50-60 each year (not counting the ones to KTers). It's a tradition in my family, and I will likely continue it as long as I am able. I love receiving Christmas cards...it helps get me into the Christmas spirit...so sending them is also a joy.

My list has gotten down to fifteen people now. Some have passed away, others getting older and just not sending cards like they used to.

My daughter and her generation don't send cards. I used to send about 50-60, and now because so many are dead and some not sending, I only send about 20-25. I'll cut back even further if others do.

We send about 80; we don’t post any photos of our kids online so we send photo cards and include all the aunts and uncles so everyone can see the kids. The vast majority of cards we receive are from friends our age, also with young children. I think it’s something you kind of phase into and then back out of as your family grows and changes. I love receiving them and hang them all as part of our decorations.

I still send cards - not as many as I had in the past. I think my list is whittled down to about 30.

I like nice cards for all occasions and lately, my go-to is Papyrus. If I remember, I will go the day after Christmas for the half off cards.

The only problem with Papyrus is that some are extra postage, so you have to be mindful of what you buy.

I still send out a few.....along with the other "cards"/messages being sent, and postage being over the dollar now,I think that a good lot of people are just plain strapped for the cash

I send out less every year. Close relatives get a card, and if anyone (casual friends, neighbors) send a card I will send one in return.

I stopped sending them a few years ago. With the exception of my sister, all of our immediate family have passed away. I have some distant cousins I have never met, but no inclination to obtain their addresses and send cards to what are basically strangers to me. I used to exchange cards with some of our friends as well as family, but over the years, they stopped sending them so I did too.

But, I think anyone who enjoys sending them out and who has people to send them to should carry on the tradition if they want to.

I stopped send Christmas cards years ago to friends and family and they have done the same. I see them all at Christmas anyway so sending a card is redundant!! I do send out cards to recent clients to thank them for their business over the year and wish them holiday greetings but that's it.

I bought a few of the pop up cards from Lovepop. Not cheap at about 8.50 a card, but I also got some of the Hallmark Signature ones and they were about 8 dollars. These prices are really ridiculous, but I am very pleased with the quality. When I wrote more cards, I used to buy the 6 packs or used the ones Audubon and other charities sent me.

They are more expensive than the one I usually buy at Papyrus, and I thought they were expensive!

I send about 15 cards and usually pick out Hallmark specialty cards for those because the cards are my way of giving a gift to those people. I write an individual letter in each one. I see my whole extended family during the holidays so I don't send any of them a card. I get a card from most everyone to whom I've sent one.
