Comments (23)Lol, you people are "sick".....talking about breakfast and cat barf at the same time! Nicole, I need to pick up some Pero. Can't drink coffee, too acidic, but enjoy something hot in the morning. This morning, I made shrimp and grits for my houseguests. Big success. :-) Okay, in the spirit of the detour that this thread took, I have a cat barf story that beats all. Our Paco has one of those tall carpet covered cat towers with several levels (basement, mezzanine, 3rd floor apartment, balcony, and the catbird seat). He uses every bit of it. A couple of weeks ago, he had a big snack followed up by a huge drink of water. (Know where I'm going with this?) After his drink, he trotted over to his tower, climbed to the top and immediately (!) started to heave. It landed on each and every level except the basement. Sigh....See MoreWhat's for breakfast?
Comments (17)I used to have an apple, banana, raisins, peanut butter and a few candied pecans. But, now that I am trying to lose weight, I am just having an apple or pear sliced up with my peanut butter and coffee with my favorite creamer. I still might have the banana, just later as a snack. For years I had a high fiber cereal until one day I just couldn't eat it. Then my next kick was Vitalicious muffins. When I started eating them, I had to order them as few stores carried them. Comments (61)Artemis, I make overnight steel cut oats about 3 time's a week thru the cold weather for the boys. Simple... 1 cup steel cut oats 4 cups water Add them to the slow cooker/crock pot, stir, cover, cook on low overnight. If you want to add cinnamon wait until right before serving or the cinnamon tends to stick around the edge of the crock and burn. You could add finely diced apples, dried fruit, or nuts night before.
