Just got back from voting
Comments (7)In WV our polling places opened at 6:30 a.m.; DH and I were there by 7:20 and didn't have to wait at all. However, there were only three voting machines, so I imagine--hope, even--that by this evening there may be a wait. The touch screen made it very simple; the instructions were clear, and there were volunteers to answer questions or help. My only question was "Could the print on the Levy question be any smaller?" The volunteer actually had one of those magnifying sheets that I laid over the screen. Voila! Suddenly, I could see it! Oh well, just another facet of getting older and declining "close-up" vision! At least, I was able to exercise my right to vote!...See MoreJust got back from Brians Botanicals
Comments (16)um... Did you actually try contacting brian thru email? ive never had much trouble any of his plants, some are magnificent, but ive heard his customer service is great... It seems borderline inappropriate to dig up an old thread and slam a reputable seller, and head it like a letter directed to brians mail. I doubt seriously he will read your remark, but certainly his customers or potential costumers will, whats your objective? ive also got to say hes been really nice to me personally, breeds great plants, that i love and so few people work with or release new varieties. in regards to an expensive mistake...without even asking what you bought i can garantee brians price was better than 90% of his competition. Competition that are selling his ppaf plants... Shipping is awful but not his fualt, he combines and packs well. Im lucky hes in my backyard! Im planning a trip as soon as I can manage it! no S/H :D Ill leave with more than I plan to buy and need to come back and get more... seriously kathryn this is gardenweb not brians site, instead of slandering him here (at the briansbotanicals fan club lol) have courtesy to let the seller make things right in private, it seems likely the problem may not have been the plants......See MoreJust got back from Emergency
Comments (22)Jasdip, some of the sites describing the procedure including Urologic Surgeons of Washington say something about what he may have experienced = "Bruising, sometime very dramatic, that is in the xxx (I'm leaving this body part out, clearly you weren't photographing that or you'd be in trouble ;)) or tracks around the flank is extremely common, and rarely of any concern", I don't find where they describe why. Your hubby's almost looks like it has fingerprints along the bruise. My brother had a rough 2 or 3 days (after feeling on top of the world the next morning when he was released) in Feb....rough time with whatever the gas is that is used to inflate the abdomen. I wonder if it couldn't end up different places in different bodies...and all he could do was wait until it was dispersed, by his body absorbing and then exhaling it. Hope this isn't too much information, but he likened it to pain of bloated and constipated, when in fact he had to wait to breathe the gas out. The bruise, combined with not feeling as well as the day before, must have been frightening. I hope he's doing better today. You too ......See MoreI just got back from Buffy's owners house.....
Comments (30)I want to add one additional comment. When you ask Larry if you can keep Buffy, let him know Buffy can visit anytime he wants to see her. It's hard to say how Larry feels about the dog without knowing him. He may be very attached but not have the time or money. My guess is though, based on the matted hair, that he is not a very responsible owner. If that is the case he will be more than willing to give up the dog. If he does give you the dog I would write up adoption papers and have him sign them. Just something that says he is relinqueshing his ownership to you. You can make something up to Larry about needing proof of ownership for pet insurance. Good luck and keep us informed. Donna P.S. You can also tell Larry when Buffy comes home that she will be needing follow up vet care. If Larry thinks the vet bills will start adding up he will be more willing to give Buffy to you....See Moregardengal48 (PNW Z8/9)
