We have seen many PGT windows in our neighborhood that look very green from the lowE coating. We cannot tolerate the green color. PGT has two coatings they offer with their Winguard Vinyl line. They call them Energy Shield Max and the other is just called Energy Shield. Does anyone have PGT Winguard Vinyl with Gray tint and just plain Energy Shield (without the max)? If yes, does it look green, blue or gray when viewing it from outside the house?
Does anyone have Windows with Solarban 60 and Optigray or Solarban 60 with Solargray? My goal is to come up with a combination that looks reflective but gray. I can tolerate a little bit of blue but no green. Green will look bad with the other colors of my house.
The local window company has no glass samples of PGT Energyshield and Gray tint. All they have are very small samples (a few inches in size) of gray and energy shield max (looks very green) which is probably equivalent to solarban 70 and optigray.
I cannot justify spending major money without seeing a good sample in advance.
