I'd live with the curling just fine, the burning of leaves is my problem, because they fell afterwards. You can see the top 2 pics and how the green color is turning to black. I'm almost pretty sure now it's spiders. We have plenty of them here, and I've crashed at least 5 tiny ones today, I've found them hanging from the leaves with their strings or whatever that thing is called. I've used all sorts of soil. Sandy one and I mean just sand taken from clean sand-dunes, sand plus potting soil, pure Ukrainian potting soil alone, and sand plus clay plus potting soil...etc I've started to give them an organic fertilizer and spray them with a pack of minerals. At the beginning I made their pots drench with water just to fill in any air in the soil, as I used to do with the citrus seedlings, but it seemed that it was a huge mistake. So far everything is in pots and not in the ground, because I live in an apartment, and the piece of land to be a little farm for my experiments is still a barren land and has no wind cover, which will be deadly during the summer and the coming autumn. The temp hits 45-48ðC in the summer, and 12-18ðC in winter. At night in winter it drops to 0ðC sometimes but not for long, and if it's a barren land than a -2ðC has been recorded. Also, winter is really dry here, and even the summer of the last couple of years had been dry as well. The pots right now are in the shaded balcony, and the temp there is around 27ðC, and I don't think they're hardened enough to be fully exposed to our harsh weather. NOT positive but its possible you have some root rot going on? That happened to one of my potted mango tree and the leaves looks very similar to yours...very droopy. Ironically, by the looks of the tree you would think its suffering from lack of water but in actuality its from soil that is staying way too wet towards the bottom of the pot (perched water) and the roots on mine were rotting. Your potting mix looks VERY water retentive to me...they prefer mix that fast draining, keeping the soil moist not "wet". Is there a way you can very gently remove the plant being very careful with the roots and check to see if the bottom of the pot is very wet? You can also insert a thin (wood dowel) sharpened at one end...insert it all the way down towards the bottom of the pot and see how wet it is. This is just a guess since its hard to diagnose from a picture...Best of luck! Nancy

Hey J, You may want to call them. Lynn had mentioned something about this tree and I can't remember if she said they had more of them or not. i wanted to get more than one mango tree from them but it is the cost of the shipping and the inspection that really made me decide not to. I can't wait for this tree to grow and begin bearing fruits. I have to say that there trees are the best quality tropical fruit tree I have ever recieved. Andrew Here is a link that might be useful:

Good luck with all of them...I have to say even though I have pugged several mango trees and have done it often...even for me, every time I have to pug one of my trees its always nerve racking,lol...you always feel like there's a chance it won't bounce back or take forever to see new growths (especially in potted plants) they recover much slower...its a very drastic thing to do but once they start growing...you can see the wait and apprehension is well worth it for the overall shape and size you're trying to achieve...Good luck to you!!
