A little mystery
Comments (13)It certainly is! Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Virginia Creeper. I love plants where the flowers are considered irrelevant but are actually very beautiful. These are tiny and tend to be hidden behind the leaves....See MoreA Mysterious Little Volunteer Appeared
Comments (8)Well thanks Gang, Borrego, it's a thought, hitchhikers in the mix that is, but anyway Pregnant Onion = Ornithagalum (sp?), I'll keep a look out for what develops. Thx for the hint, I've seen this plant, but never in its juvenile form. Must've been in my mix, which also has a lot of pumice in it, but I've used this pumice for a while & nothing else has sprouted from it, can't recall if I've opened a new bag of mix lately. Ines, I know a digital camera shouldn't be a big deal, but to paraphrase my Dad, "it's a want to, not a have to". As opposed to approx. $350 for new glasses & $1,000+ for upcoming dental work, those are HAVE TOs. Unfortunatley I don't know anyone who might lend me theirs. Last Xmas, I'd thought Santa might get me a digital camera, but it was not to be. Anyway, it's a fun little mystery, which had me just tickled pink. This thing is growing quite fast, looks super healthy & happy, very bright light green in color, I checked it last nite & it's putting on a 2nd leaf. Forgot to say, it's just the cutest little thing going!! Thanks again!...See MoreLittle Mystery Flowers In My Steps...
Comments (6)Does have an advantage that I heard about recently, in areas of Louisiana creeping charlie and sunflowers were apparently to absorb the heavy metals from the soil. The plants were apparently removed and sent to a hazard waste place. This may be one of those urban tales....See MoreThe mysterious little blue bird jug
Comments (12)Casie, I am not sure.. To me it feels chalky under what is left of the glaze. Lindac92, I am at a loss too. I can't find anything like it anywhere, I've not seen anything like it either. It's quite light weight and fragile. Thank you for your thoughts. This is a doozie!...See More- 8 years agolast modified: 8 years ago
