Need recommendation updated shower/bath combo in kids bath
Comments (1)Can you upload a photo of your bath and give its layout? What amount of space do you have to work with? Did you want to replace the tub? or maybe just the surroundings?...See MoreAnyone doing shower curtains instead of doors?
Comments (26)Personally, I love shower curtains--and agree with all those with similar frustration about keeping glass doors clean. I recently tried the Double Shower Hook and really love it. I hang a fabric liner on the inner hooks, and dressier curtain on the outer hook. The weight of both easily keeps the hook on the rod. The inner liner is soooo easy to detach and throw in the wash as often as needed. The outer curtain can be classic, transitional, tone-on-tone, funky, eclectic, fun--whatever you want. If teenagers will be your primary users--I would definitely choose a curtain (they will never squeegee glass will they?) Let them choose something fun and funky for now, and you can tone it down with a new curtain later, when they move out....See MoreFlorida Water Softener
Comments (3)A couple of questions: 1. Do you have a full water report? I assume you are on city water. If so, providing the city's water report would be helpful. Obtain a few reports - water may vary seasonally. 2. A full water test would be good as well from YOUR house. Often the water will pick up a few things along the way from the point where the city tests. 3. Manganese is closely related to iron, and they are often found together. Is there manganese in your water? 4. SFR (service flow rate) is important. To size a softener appropriately, we will need to know the max flow you can get. Open an outdoor spigot, or a tub faucet and time how long it takes to fill a gallon bucket....See MoreWho's got a rain shower/shower and hand shower combo setup they adore?
Comments (5)Not that we adore them, but we really have no complaints. We have a Grohe Relexa Top 4 Plus handheld on a vertical sliding bar. You can use fixed wall brackets (or just one bracket) if you prefer. Ours does get moved, I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'1". Really no complaints, it's been a good shower head. It's our primary. Been in the shower for close to 20 years and we've never had a problem with it. I do need to replace the 8' long hose that connects it to the wall outlet. We have a 12" round rain head from Aquabrass that is plumbed out of the ceiling. It provides a nice gentle "rain", it can certainly douse you. But it does not have a forceful spray. It's a true rain head. Water droplets simply 'fall' out of it. Again, no issues with it. It's a nice rain head experience when we want that rain head experience in the shower. Neither were expensive. the Top 4 was maybe $75 and the AquaBrass about $150. If either of these needed replacement, I'd have no worries replacing them with the same....See MoreSina Sadeddin Architectural Design
