Is a NanaWall worth it?

If you have a NanaWall (or similar brand), did you find that it really transformed your living space, making it truly indoor/ outdoor, and so expanding the amount of living space you have? Or has it been more of a glorified sliding door?

We live in San Francisco, though in a relatively sunny neighborhood, so would be able to keep it open many/ most afternoons - just no evenings, when the fog comes in. We also have a tiny house, so wonder whether we might make it 'bigger' by making the back deck feel like part of the house. But we also wonder whether we could save $5-8K on our remodel by just going with large sliding doors. Our opening will be ~7'6" high by 8' wide. Based on initial quotes, we found that La Cantina was actually about $1K more than NanaWall (~$8.5K excluding installation).

I'd love to hear experiences/ recommendations. Trying to figure out whether it's worth the cost.

Thanks!
