Comments (5)A lot of price difference if you want wireless. You can pretty much search the cost on your own. IntelliTouch is really only if you have a high end system and want to take advantage of IntelliBrite lighting features. If you are a 3.2kw VF IntelliFlo purchaser, this system is the best. If you are a VS buyer, the EasyTouch is best. If you are a simple pool/spa the SunTouch is great or any other automated control. If you are a 2 speed pump shopper, avoid the Hayward and shoot for Pentair or Jandy. They are much easier to work with. On a parts only basis here are some comparisons. Comments (6)goyom, yes there is no skimmer. Apparently not needed for negative edge pools. poolmanchuck, thanks for the insight. I agree with you that the $10K is justified for the additional equipment but just asking myself if there is enough value to it. I am thinking about how I am likely to use this thing and it looks to me like a two pump solution may be a good compromise. Run pool jets off one pump and everything else of another pump. When pool jets run they are cirulating hot water and it is a waste of energy to supply hot water to other functions (some of which will very likely be in use when the spa is running). By seperating the pool jet pump the problem is solved. That also means that both the high flow requirements are on two different pumps. Does that make sense? I am still undecided about EasyTouch vs. Intellitouch. Looking for any inputs on if there is way to use EasyTouch and get the flexibility with lighting at the same time without having to pay the 1k or 2k premium for Intellitouch. Comments (22)I have and love my Moen Motionsense Arbor. Reusing it in my under construction kitchen and getting another for my second sink. I have read the thread with other people's problems but have experienced non if it. The front sensor is great but it does take a little getting used to to avoid getting wet by mistake. And it sometimes gets guests. But it could be turned off for parties. But is my favorite part daily. The only time mine has come on by mistake is I think twice a lot of hot steaming pasta water triggered it. I have had the handle come loose and was sent replacement parts for that for no charge. I did get the adapter to plug in vs use batteries. I'll be curious to see if there are any issues in my new location - it will now be in a very bright sunny spot. I wonder if something in the light around it is why dorm people have had problems? Or if there are problems with the newer ones?
