entryway rug advice

Do you think I should change this large rug to a smaller one. I can’t stand the tile, but that will hopefully change next year. I’ve been waiting patiently. Also you love to change the color of the walls. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I like it. Better a bit big that too small. Plus functionally it is better.

I might center it on the table

I would go with a lighter beige on the walls. I have Clay Beige BM in my house & love it.

THE RULE Is don't make a second post!! Go to a real carpet store, ask to see stair runners that come in 36 inch widths.Have it made to the length you need and backed with non skid. Or look at area rugs in 3 x 5 for the entry if that fits.. No doormat sizes. Ready made runners will be too narrow for your space No to the rug under table. You need an 8 x10 and I doubt that fits. Nothing is far better, than a too small rug.

and nothing in the hallway? I do feel I need the foot trafficked areas to have rugs to protect my floors. I like the idea of a wider rug in the entry area, but I still want a runner in the hall. I guess I’m just lost on how to approach mixing and matching rugs in a contiguous area.

Definitely too small! I am also not loving the round shape. I would get a larger rectangle rug and lay it so the length runs perpendicular with the entry door. Something similar to this...

The runner doesn't have to be the same pattern as the door mat. A runner would be a great idea.

Wow, looks great. I wonder if scooting it to the left so center of rug is centered on the doors would be even nicer?

Thank you! I can not move it to the center of the door because the table is in the way. I tried moving to touch the table, but it looked weird.

You were reading my mind I guess. I was thinking how rugs need to be under sofas and chairs in living rooms and wondering if it would be the same in this situation.
